Marvel to play Meerkats, next week, and will want, at least 9 points from the game, hoping that Kokalo will beat Three W's 7-4. - Tis tuff at the top , folks.

.......and saves a white wash , for the Meerkats, against Marvel who ran out the 10-1 winners. It was "No Yolk" for poor Negg who cracked under the strain and lost 2-1 against Doug. Marvel may need that point and, if so, Negg will surely be boiled alive by his Team!!

Meanwhile, Three W's were "KOKALODE" by the Armourada squad who won 6-5. The league is still open wide to all three Teams, plus of course Meerkats, who continue to steal valuable points.

Three W's - 64
Marvel - 61
Kokalo - 57
Meerkats - 16 (6 of these points against Marvel - Whoops!!)

Next week will see Kokalo vs Meerkats. Kokalo will be after an 11-0. - Meerkats may surprise them!

Regards to Colin. Tell him that Rainbow have now replaced the dartboard surround , and all those beer glasses, and the glass in those pictures on the wall. Polyfilla has cured the holes in the table and safety helmets are now available on request.

................ two valuable points, against Meerkats, and now have it all to do for the League Winners title.

Three W's still remain favourites with games in hand but have still to play Marvel.

Kokalo, also with games in hand, face Three W's soon. Kokalo and Three W's still have games against Meerkats. The League winners cup could be in the hands of the Meerkats who continue to steal valuable points.

Marvel may change their Team name to "M-Aaaaargh-Vel", after last nights result and hope the Meerkats will continue to improve from that result of 9-2.

...... that they are still around. With a 10-1 win over Meerkats they are only 2 points behind but with a game in hand. Marvel could only get a nervous 6-5 win over Kokalo and now look to Kokalo to give those W's boys a good thrashing in their next game. All helps Marvel DONCHYERKNOW?

The League winners title could be decided when Marvel play Three W's but Marvel may need at least an 8-3 win to topple Xrisanthos and his boys.

The super way this Winter league has been played must be reflected by Maggie (Meerkats) beating Yiorgos, (3 W's) 2-0 and Stathis (Kokalo) beating Negg 2-1.

Yiorgos spoke to me the next day and said "Well played Maggie - I was punished! - No sour grapes!"

Stahis was on 157 when Negg was on 80, Stathis went 60- 57 - and just missed 40. (Hit Double 1)
Everyone in Marvel was willing that last dart to go in that fat 20. Including Negg.
That my friends is what the game is all about!
Negg missies, Stathis then hit his double 19 but Negg still slept well after a super game.

P - Pressure - after losing the first 3 games with.......
P - Puzzlement as to why those vital doubles were being missed.
and....
P - The Pain at 6-1 down when they realised the Cup was no longer in their grasp.

An 8-3 win by Three W's makes them very hot favourites for the League Winners. Kokalo's 10-1 win over Meerkats now means they will need another 10-1 in their final game, with Three W's, to force a play off.

Unless there is a tsunami, hurricane, or blizzard I think W's will be celebrating already.
