Neill just caught Mick and Calum playing darts in the bedroom, Mick had been stuck on double 1 for ages so asked me to try for him.  Yes first dart double 1, I've now been banned from Calum's bedroom ha ha ha.

Hope you can give Kerry a few tips but be very careful when she's throwing ha ha ha

"Sunset tooo bright for Owlettes"

Sunset's Bar 11-0 over Owlettes now closes the top of the league and makes life very interesting indeed, in The NTS Darts League.
Three W's, who beat Armours' Goldies 10-1 move into top spot, with Sunset only 1 point behind.
(Three W's may live to regret that they only beat Owlettes 8-3!!)
But.... Armourada and Night Owl have yet to play, with a game in hand.
A 6-5 result, either way, may not be enough.
Current Points.
Three W's - 31
Sunset     - 30
Armourada -27
Night Owl   - 26
Owlettes     - 5
Golden Girls - 2

"Owls wing way back to top of tree"

Sunset Bar, last night, met a very in form Night Owl team whose 10-1 win, included 15 merit scores and 180's for Capt Bob and Dimitris.
Dave n Stammatis saved the brush for Sunset with a fine 2-0 win over Makis n Dimitris but Sunset ran out 20-6 losers on legs.

Three W's - 31   ( 4 games played)
Sunset Bar - 31 ( 5 games played )
Armourada - 27 ( 3 games played )
Owlettes - 5
Golden Girls - 2

Armourada have yet to play the Owl. They will surely be sharpening beaks and bringing a chainsaw, when they meet, to whittle down that high branch, that the Owls now currently own.

" Lettes hear it for Lady Owls "

The bottom of the table tussle between Owlettes and Armourada "Goldies" was probably the best and longest match in this Winters League.
2-1 then 2-2 then 4-2 then 4-4 then 5-5!
The final result went down to the deciding leg in the final pairs game, which saw Owlettes Sally n Ann finally clinch that elusive double.
6-5 to Owlettes and a 16-13 win on legs.

And...... Who says local darts is not fun??



No Team in the top of the table must take these 2 teams for granted as they can snatch valuable points which could be regretted in the future. They both continue to improve.
Equally, the league would be very boring and sad without their input.

What a fabulous tribute to the NTS is that photo Neill. Jen and I would have broken a leg to be there in it. Well I might have had to put a dress and wig on....

When Armourada took a healthy 5-2 lead, against Sunset, in this weeks NTS Darts they may have been counting some bonus points to get closer to League Leaders , Night Owl. But, 2 singles wins by Sunset's Capt Alan and Stammatis then followed by the pairs win, in the 5-5 decider, and Sunset ran out 6-5 winners on the night. (15-14 on legs. - A very close game!)

Night Owl firmly superglue their Talons to that top branch in the tree with an 11-0 win over "Goldies", but an 81 out, in 2 darts, by Marcia must have ruffled the feathers a little.
Not to be out done Owls Nickos went out on 126 (t19,19, Bull)

Improving Owlettes proved that they should not be taken for granted and battled back against a 7-1 scoreline to deny Three W's the bonus points they desperately needed to keep up with the Owl. Good pairs wins by Lynda & Dawn
and Lynda & Sally and a fine 2-0 singles by Ann made it an 8-3 win to "W's

"Buckle belts bull for 4 from 4"

Armourada's Roger Buckle kept his 100% singles record with an average of 63.5, per throw, in last nights NTS Darts league, including a bull finish.
He now moves up the unbeaten table and gets closer to the elite minority who have yet to lose a singles game.

Xrisanthos (3 W's) leads the way with 7 from 7, followed by Makis (Owl) 6/6 and Spiros (Owl/Rainbow) 5/5 , with young Owl Spiros also on 4 from 4.
(A very exclusive membership indeed!)

Three W's match result of 9-2 against Armourada closes the gap to Night Owl but they are still 10 points adrift. Next weeks meeting of the "Top 2" will be interesting.

Capt Bob (Owl) is the first semi-finalist player through to the "Arilliacs Super Singles" K/O with the 2nd semi drawn for the end of January.

But I'm made of sterner stuff than that, and so are you.

" Owls evict Three W squatters from nest "

Three W's thought the only way was up when they quickly went into a 2-1 lead against Night Owl, helped on the way with a 111 out by Doug, in last Nights match. But it was then down to earth with a big bump when they then lost the next 8 games with 5 of those going to a deciding leg. Chances were had and doubles missed and 100% records were lost by Xrisanthos in the singles and Xris and Negg in the pairs. Owl's Makis tops the unbeaten singles record now with 7 from 7. Leg result Owls 20 - Three W's 9.
A 9-2 match win for the Owls gives them a 17 point lead at the top of the table.
