Indepentently or Package?

Hi Dimitri,

For out first visit we booked package last year for Kokinos, and while there we booked Bardis Sun Studio for this year which was package too as we had to go through Corfu Escape.

Next year we will book independently with Poppy and Spiro.  We both prefer to do this when we can.  We fly from Gatwick, so this year it was with easyjet, and will be on future visits most probably too.

Hi Dimitris this time around we booked independantly, it was relatively easy the accommodation was amazing value although the flights were a bit pricey, that is what you get for using regional airports I guess.  We look forward to meeting you again when we arrive on 1 September.

For 2007 at the Horizon we had a package holiday with Libra using a travel agent.
This year, 2008, we has a package holiday with Thomsons at Kaloudis Village.  Booked it online, and for the first time also included taxi transfer.  This worked well.

We went to the Kaloudis Village with Thomson this year and it was brilliant.  I could not fault anything.  We have previously stayed at  the Rainbow with Manos also excellent and next year we have booked independently to stay at the Marina and I can't wait !!!

We have done both over the last 11 years but for the last 6 we have been booking independently.  The main reason for this is that we are particular about wanting our apts and they are only available independently.  Another reason is that it works out a lot cheaper for us being a family of 5.  We average about £1500-£1700 for the flights +accomm for 2 weeks.  A package would put at least a grand on top of this.

Next years holiday was a package deal to Kaloudis with Thomson from Gatwick. Two weeks for £637. Pretty good, I think.

Our holiday for October 2008 cost £644 for the two of us from Thomson flying from Doncaster - staying at Kaloudis - includes transfers too - so we think this is a really good price. Anne and Phil

The last 4yrs we have gone independant always worked out a bit cheaper, but this year we took a package with Thomsons, but then decided to change accommodation and stayed at Horizon, all in all it only added an extra £80 from booking flights and accommodation independent total cost approx£640 but well worth it

We always travelled independantly up until a couple of years ago, but now the cost of flights only (Leeds/Liverpool/Manchester) are so expensive, we go 'Package' purely because of the cost.
We still prefer to go independant when we can afford to, to give the accommodation owners their rightful share of the money, if nothing else.

We booked a package with thomson as it was cheaper than trying to do it independantly. As we have to go in school holidays we will save the direct bookings for when we can travel more freely

we booked a package with Manos now Thomson, staying at the Rainbow, flying out 8th Sep. We book online oureselves every year  and have never had a problem.

2006 and 2008 we flew Manchester to Corfu but we have booked our 2009 flight from Leeds/Bradford (6 minutes drive from our house)  We have paid a lot more for the flights from LBA than we did from Manchester but I'd rather fly with Thompsons from LBA that flippin Air Malta from mucky airport Manchester! (In a very old MD plane too! UGH!)

We stay at Dimitra Studios.....LOVE 'EM!
