cash atm visa

im still going round in circles  trying to decide on what to do with regards to money i think i will do a mix of  euros and travelers cheques
is visa generly accepted in most restraunts as there will be 4 adults and 2 kids this will be our biggest expence
is the atm reliable or is it  in the laid back greek maybe time mode

Not many places take credit cards but I know Dimitris does at Brouklis.

The ATM has worked just fine everytime I have been there and there is a money delivery at least once a week to keep us tourists in cash.

I took sterling and euros when I went in mid June. Glad that I did as the ATM wasn't working for a couple of days at the end of my holiday, my friends had problems along with others, and not everywhere would accept a card as payment.  They eventually managed to get some money from one of the travel shops.

I'm pretty certain it does....I'm sure my HSBC card is maestro and I've used it there before....but of course there will be a charge.

Yes it accepts Maestro cards Stu, that's all I ever use over there.

Yes the villa is mine (lol, well Keith's and mine!)...it's just up the road from the Tria Adelphia so if you find time for a walk during your 3 weeks Phil will point  you in the right direction.

Three weeks, how good is that?   Lucky lucky you.

Yes 3 weeks, cant wait...! but not as lucky as you, look at the villa you have there...lol!
we arrive 28th July, and yes will try get up to the villa while we are there, would love to look round, are you out there at all during my 3 weeks?
we alternate our hols, 1 year arillas, me, elaine & josh, the next we go with a group of friends - usually to Icmeler in Turkey. Been trying to bring/persuade our friends to come to Arillas, telling them how great it is etc..
Your villa looks a perfect base.

Re Nationwide Debit Card`s
,,noticed they can  have either Mastercard,Meastro or Cirrus  Logo`s on the Cards..can anyone confirm The ATM In Arillas Will accept all these cards....

Kes I can confirm it will accept Maestro but I don't know about the others.

Hmm..We don`t nomally use the AtM ,but do have a Nationwide debit card with Cirrus Logo..There is a search option for ATM`s on the Nationwide website ,but it does not list the one In Arillas......The logos for all accepted card are usualy displayed on their ATM... (has anyone noticed?)Need to confirm as we arrive on Monday...

Mine is a Nationwide Visa debit card and that worked fine. However, in the past I have successfully used my HSBC debit card which has a Cirrus logo in the Arillas ATM.
