Two weeks and a few days to go and according to the BBC website it's raining on Corfu.
What's going on ?

Two weeks ago in Arillas there was a thunderstorm, but it was at 1am. I was on the balcony watching it come in over the sea.

I don't think that it will be raining on Corfu if you go, thegreatboosup!
And if, it is better than to sit at home with rain and the most of time it is only vor view min or 1 hour! That is ok!
The weather is so fast changing, in one minute it is raining and in the other you have the best weather!
So, don't worry, you will have nice holidays :)

Riggers, I remember that thunderstorm, wow, it was beautiful to see all the lightnings in the night! :)
At that time I was sitting at the Bar from the Horizon, with my drink and looked out to the sea :)

I have just checked here .... http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/16641.html

and it does look like it will a bit unsettled. But who cares, lots to do, lots to see, lots to eat and drink, its still going to be warm, and there is a zebra crossing to cross. ( I might stand and wait for a Red Pug, what a way to meet Eggy for the first time)

Only 6 more hours at work as well!!!!!!!

Totally agreed Terry. The weather was pretty bad last October but we barely noticed.

Make sure you and Helen have a brilliant holiday. Jen and I will be very glad to see you there in your second week

all the best

I was looking at the teletext 5 day forecast yesterday and it said 'hot - 38 degrees and heavy rain' for both thursday (yesterday) and today. 'Looked on the webcam - clear blue skies!! But I think Arillas has a micro-climate, as we've been there on several occasions and watched the thunderstorms all around, whilst directly above Arillas were clear skies.

Moral - if you want to know what the weather is like, look at the webcam!!

Terry, probably wrong thread but have a fabulous time next week.  Not sure what time you are setting off.  Make sure you keep us posted on Arillas life!

I got home at 4am this morning and have had 8 days of undiluted sunshine. Hot, hot, hot ...not a breath of wind. Tuesday afternoon it clouded over for a few hours.....but NO sign of rain. Have faith! Will post more later....

Good hto have you back Sandy! And thank you for the weather update :)

The latest 5 day forecast shows everything back to normal - scorchio.

I, for one, wouldn't care if it rained the whole time I was there, a bad day in Arillas is better than a good day in work every time!
A woman has the last word in any argument, anything a man says after that is the start of a new argument!

Little bowl of olives would be nice too !
