Hi All

Just been quoted £234 + £20 fuel surcharge for return flight in September.
Not booked independantly before so does this seem reasonable. It was
through Charterflights.co.uk.

That sounds ok from Leeds/Bradford. For some reason, it is always more expensive there than from other northern airports.
For a cheaper ( - and usually more 'civilised' i.e. less busy) option, try Liverpool or Humberside.

Try jet2 from Newcastle they seem to be quite cheap. Start at the end of June till the end of Sept.

Good luck

Hi you two.Looking forward to seeing you very soon. xx

Wow - somewhere that is dearer than Bristol (our local airport.) Jen did a compare for mid september and it was £254 from Leeds and £210 from Bristol (total price) for the exact same dates. On other posts by Sandy and blondegirl, you will read that far from later bookings being being cheaper they have gone up astronomically. We paid £179 for peak season in mid July but booked in November. Heaven knows what our 4 weeks will be in September - we're still going though, whatever...

You ought to have a look at the prices from our local airport,Norwich.

Like you Phil we are flying from Bristol. We fly on 8th Sept 2 weeks paying £208 each
booked with Flydeals last December. Compared with some of the Easyjet deals that may seem dear but we wanted a local airport.

Agreed Paul, some cracking deals on EJ from Gatwick but its worth the extra to avoid the 3+ hour drive or train journey.

£208 sounds about what we've been seeing for September.

Cheers, Jen
