Hello again to you good people of Arillas Forum.  Hope you remember me,
you kindly supported and helped me when my daughter Sam went missing.

Well I need your help again, if you would be so kind.  Can anybody tell me
of a trusted and reasonably priced removal company who can move items of
furniture from the UK to northern Corfu.  Not a complete house contents, but a
couple of settees, bed, fridge, washing machine and boxes.  I have looked on line and there are several companies, but would rather use a company that has been
tried and tested.   I would be grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks.

Hi Trish,

We have used Dave McJackson's services three times now and can whole heartedly recommend him for a reasonable, reliable and fully insured door to door service.

Dave makes regular trips over and will take over part loads or full loads.

Hi,
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.  Lindypops and Eileen I have posted
messages.
Riggers I could think of worse ways of travelling, the settees really are
very comfortable, but I believe this mode of entry is frowned upon in
countries other than just our own!
Nice to see you all again.

Hi Trish, I have heard from quite a few people that have used Dave and all have been very happy with his services.
Just got to ask, Is the furniture for your daughters use or your friends out there, or are you making the big move. Viv

Stay Nude it ante rude

Hi Viv,
It's good to know that Dave has a good reputation, I will be contacting him
soon - just as soon in fact as my daughter has come to a final decision about
moving - she's dithering at the moment, but then again it really is a big decision
because she wouldn't be buying property immediately, but looking for unfurnished
property to rent.  She will be over again in two or three weeks to apartment hunt,
but feels finding an unfurnished rental may be a lengthy process.  We shall see.
I know her heart is out there now though.
Hope you and yours are all well Viv.

hi Trish. So glad your earlier worries are over.

Jen and me intend to start our new life in NW Corfu by renting and letting out our house in UK. Would be very grateful to follow your progress on the forum - it will be really useful to us.

We won't be bringing our furniture though, so we will also need a small load removals firm. Thanks all of you for the info - have stored it away safely for when we need it.

We'll be over in July but that will be a well earned holiday and renewing all our friendships. However, we intend to spend all of September there and will do some serious searching then.

with best wishes

Dear Phil and Jenny,

I will be happy to keep you informed as to my daughter's proposed move - That
sounds like a very good idea, letting out your property here and renting in Corfu,
always gives you an opt out option if you wanted - not that that seems very likely.

I am in Corfu late June, but staying in Gouvia with my foster children who are
teenagers and want some night life - I felt Sidari might just be a little too 'full on'
for them.   I will be returning on my own in August, and plan to book a place to stay in Arillas.  Any suggestions of a property very near the sea?

Anyway bye for now, I am off to a family lunch.
Best wishes.
Trish

I dont mind being part of the furniture!
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

We had Dave transport some stuff for us, and we had excellent service. I'm sure anyone who needs furniture moving to Corfu would find him very helpful.

Just posted but it seems to have disappeared....

Hi trish. I just wrote about Anna (Annas Studios) admitting that I'm biased - Jen and me adore her and her family. As a woman on your own if that's what you meant, Annas place is ideal. Arillas is a perfect place for you where you won't feel alone at all, and everywhere is near enough to the sea. but look at the forum map - it tells you where everything is. If you really want to be next to the sea, consider Kaloudis. Ask riggers - he has been there a lot, and Jen and me did last October. Was great. But it's a Thomson package, and usually too pricey for us.

Shame we'll miss you - July 7 to 21st, than September 2 to 30th is likely (last one not booked yet but will be soon)

very best wishes
phil

Thanks Maggie, another positive for Dave - looks like he's the man to contact.
Blondegirl, if Dave doesn't mind, it's o.k. with me.

Phil, thanks for the tips on places to stay - I'll make contact when I am sure
of my dates - possibly moving house very soon so everything uncertain with
regard to when I might visit.  Shame I won't be there the same time as you
and Jen though.
Thanks again.
