Heading to Arillas on 23 Sep for our first visit which we have booked after reading bits and bobs on this forum. I was wondering about the number of sunloungers on the beach and do you have to pay for them?

Erja

Last summer we paid 3.50 euros (one umbrella and two loungers) per day per head and they do seem to have enough of them available.
Life is good ;)

Loads of sunloungers and umbrellas on the main beach  and yes you have to pay....not sure how much as I never use them....there are numerous pools in Arillas and sunbeds are free there although you are "expected" to buy a drink/food if you you them. Someone else will be able to tell you how much they cost on the beach last year.

Last September, we had free use of sun-loungers and parasol.

As we walked along the beach, I just helped myself and carried them off to a remote part of the beach.

At the end of the session I took them back.

Nobody challenged us, though I would have paid the normal rate.

I'm not suggesting everyone does this though, but maybe this coming May we'll do it again?   ;-

Now you have told us your trick James they will be looking out for you.
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

We may be in Arillas on 23 September (in fact whole month) to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary on that very day.

We also tell them we don't know you, but if you find us in the Coconut (that is if you survive long enough) we'll have a drink with you!

Take a lot of care...

Cost of sunbeds etc is quite reasonable considering that over the past couple of years the proprietors of the sunbeds have spent a lot of time cleaning the beach & clearing up any litter each day..this is a great improvement on previous years..

I agree Kes....much cleaner than my first visit to Arillas
