phil and jen, i agree, just throw all the towels in the pool or sea, then get up early and go watch the krauts, its brilliant to watch them lol

Menorca and Spain in General are really bad.It is the Brits now that have over taken the Germans. At night the owners used to chain the sunbeds together in piles and you had to go a 9.00 and get one when they unlocked them. One year somebody was so mad they pushed the sunbed piles into the deep end of the pool, then no one could get them and it was a British only accommodation!!!

we were in spain recently, staying in a lovely little hotel (all english guests) with a very small sunbathing area round the pool, there were loads of beds but no space! every morning before breakfast one chap would set up his bed, towel and book on it, in the best place free of shadows and then disappear until at least 2pm!!!! no one was brave enough to move it, including me! we did park our beds right upto his though, so we weren't in the shade!

Just a thought here - And not wishing to cause distress or embarrassment to people.

But.... Has anyone ever considered slippling a "whooppee Cushion" under a towel left on an un-attended sunbed?

Ha ha good idea Eggy, it would certainly get some heads turning...

Negg, I LOVE your sense of humour, hahahaha, I can picture it!

Brilliant idea Eggy BUT the one problem with that is that - the reserved, unoccupied sunbeds very rarely get a bottom sitting on them - so unfortunately the whoopee cushion would be redundant!!!!!

Would welcome more bright ideas!!!

What about one of those blow up dolls from Terry's How to get peace and quiet on the beach thread? lol.

Hi I'm off to Arillas on June 30th and will be staying at Dionysis II, as my husband isn't keen on the beach we spend a lot of time at the pool, I just wondered if this is still a problem this year. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

I don't think you should have too much trouble at that time in the season - it's usually worse in August when the place is full.

Have to agree Sue. Jen has spent many happy hours in July in Anna's pool, even when we weren't staying there. Never a problem with sunbeds, towels or anything.

Me? I swim in the sea so I have the perfect excuse to have several pints of cold Mythos while she swims!

lol

Agree Sue. We`ve been to Anna`s, and never seen a problem with sunbeds.

Hi,
We are staying at Dionnysos 2 in a weeks time and wondered if the reserving sunbed issue had improved this year?!

Thanks

Karen/Colin

We will also be there in 2 weeks, (so near but yet so far!!) Should be ready to go out & sample to local cuisine & wine about this time-lovely.
I'd like to know if the towels on beds is still a problem this year.
