Hi Neil!
Like your description of the thunderstorms. I think Noah went past Gratsella when we had moved into 'the inner sanctum' to eat our evening meal.
Will update the forum with a report, including my trip to the islands from Ageos Stefanos on Pegasus.
Yammas,
Martin.

Glad you had a safe trip home. Arillas is a different today with outside temps of 25 deg plus and a very nicc afternoon all round.

It's still very quiet but a few coaches came in today bringing "fesh meat" for the barbie.

I'm very pleased you identified that big object in the sky. Here was me thinking it was a giant buzzard.... and.... There aren't things as Armadillos on wheels then?
Joking apart, They are what we need to get back to the UK to see family and friends etc, but the bottom line for me, is do I want to make that effort.
Does the term " The grass is greener on the other side " apply here. Don't know.
Right now the roses on doors and pub lunches are taking a back seat but they will, I'm sure pop back into the mind again some time.
( Just as Pork Pies and Roast Pork with crackling does)

Great day here today and people taking very good advantage of it. It's great to meet so many who respect what Arillas is trying to do and makes me feel bad that not more people are here to share the pleasures of such a friendly place etc etc.

Give it time though - We are, after all, still in May.
Cheers
Negg

p.d.

great day today the sun has got his hat on.
strange story i heard we have all seen greeks riding motorcycles & scooters with no helmets but maybe carrying on there arms. The same law applies here as in the uk
talking to some friends about this and was informed that if you at least carry a helmet
the fine is only half of what it would be with no helmet.True or not i dont know perhaps it will keep someone busy finding out.The greek way maybe!

Yes it does indeed look fab and I am itching to have a look.  The only dilemma I have is how to look vaguely ok on the hike up as I dont reckon my flip flops will be much use! The thought of wearing hiking boots is worrying me! How shallow and pathetic am I?! I was thinking of working the festival look - sans wellies!

Please some tips girls!!

It does look amazing. Thanks for the pics Mary. Just can't wait to see it finished and for real in July. Loved Sandy's little quip - two weeks in Greek time is mercifully always longer than that. Sadly for us, two weeks English time means we will depart exactly two weeks after we arrive.... We really do belong there.

But look at this way Phil....at least Nikos' bar should be open by the time you get there.....

Arillas Today?

Anyone want 26 deg, in the shade, at 6pm?.
Anyone want to share a brolly with the many people on the "returning beach?
( Full credit to Pedros here, and many others who keep these areas tidy )
Who wants to visit Marina Pool for a Sharon special home made "Cake of the Day" ?

Some may want to watch the cricket on Sky at Rainbow , Coconut etc.
Some may want to join the others at Brouklis for that late relaxed lunch.
Others may pick anywhere on the front just to enjoy the view and company.

Any takers Peeps? - No need to apply in writing just :-
"Come on Down - The place is right" - ( Who remembers that prog then? )
Cheers
