Great pictures Sara, they remind us so much of Jimmy and Vicky's (Rainbow)wedding 11 yeats ago. It was also at Easter and we experiemced evrything that you describe, a great time has by all, although at Aviolotes church rather than affionas.  We hope to share Easter  with our Arillas friends within the next couple ofn years.  But will be back in May 2010 anyway.

Sorry about the typos in our last message. I think I must have thought I was a touch typist  , which I definitely am not.   Next time I shall make sure I read my messages thoroughly before hitting Post !!!!!!!

Lovely pictures Sara, the eggs looked really pretty with their decorations.
Your Villa pictures and Penny and Bobs are so scrummy, I can almost feel the sea
breeze.
There was always a lovely fresh scent in the air at this time of year in Afionas and
Arillas- or was that just me being a barm pot? Hard to describe...

Hope you had a good holiday

Afraid we still haven't been out on our bikes yet because we've been so busy in the garden. Weeding the lawn today & I've never seen such large weeds. Some actually had roots almost the size of parsnips!!
We will go out on the bikes soon & photos will follow.

We are hearing the cicades now & last night we saw our first fireflies [just two!]

The weather has been lovely today. The wind has dropped & I'm guessing that it was probably about 20 degrees - it's looking good back in the U.K too.

Here are just a couple of photos to keep you going. Wildflower's in an olive grove, near the Olive Wood shop & tonight's sunset.

Enjoy............

It peaked at 21 degrees here in Southampton this afternoon.....but sadly we don't have those views here Sara! Glad you are having a good time and enjoyed Easter.

Thanks for the update Sara.
The picture in the olive grove is wonderfully evocative of spring - Oh to be in Corfu now that April's here!

Fireflies,
How I wish we were there watching the fireflies dancing through the night.
My grandson still recalls the fireflies from our visit in May two years ago.

Good memories

Its lovely to see the colourful ground cover in the olive grove. I have only seen it in the summer when its all gone due to the heat.

Eileen, things could be more comfortable in the spring :-)

Thanks Sara

John, I shall never forget the look of wonder on my dad's face when he saw his first firefly two years ago at the age of 90. Hopefully he will see several more when we return in May.....
