Thats awful we forget that this happens through the winter as everyone works so hard to make it ok for us returning at the beginning of the season.

Lets hope that the sea calms down.

I looked on the webcam myself this morning and thought that it looked like a spring day in Arillas i couldn't believe Maggies pics
Lets hope the storms abate somewhat.
Hows the donkey track as that had been quite badly eroded a couple of years back?

My thoughts are with all those who have to face it, and fix it up. Jen and me will still be back, no matter what. Nothing short of nuclear war would keep us two away.

Hope all is well Maggie. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Tony, I don't know what state the donkey track will be in. I've not ventured that far. We were stood at the sea front opposite Marinaki, taking photos of the collapsed road, and the sea was so wild, we got wet from it crashing against the land. The weather today is quite nice, but very windy. It's not raining. We haven't got fasteners on our shutters yet, and they're blowing back and forth! Very irritating!
Let's hope it doesn't get any worse....... (at least we don't have snow!!!!)

   what has happened to our beautiful place.  ??  Hope everything will be repairable.

Maggie

I'm sure that by summertime, it will look as beautiful as ever. We spoke today to friends who live in Nice, and their seafront is just as bad as ours. I think its been stormy everywhere.

Erja

OMG from me too! Scary stuff and I hope the damage is not too huge but it does look like a lot of work.
Life is good ;)

What a shock it was to see this damage to the wonderful place we know and love, guess it's a reminder of what our dea friends do during the winter to get everything ready for us in the summer. Love to all. Viv

A big shock for me to see this as well!

Not been to Arillas for a week now as I've had car problems since Xmas Eve, so no transport at the moment.

By April though, I think, all repairs will be made and this will be just another small hiccup that Arillas folk take in their stride.
No problems only solutions works well here.

Cheers

I hope no-one is put off by my pictures. I'm sure in summer, you'll never know anything was wrong! I only put them on to let every-one see the difference between summer and winter. I hope it was of interest, but doesn't stop you all visiting in the future.
                Arillas needs you all!!!!!
