Blondegirl - re your query, the photo which shows the lovely green countryside was taken across Arillas from the lane that runs alongside the snack bar Eftyhia.

Eggy health update - never fear - your "on the spot Arillas Today reporter" is up and about again today and will be back bringing you all the latest news and gossip from this lovely part of the world within the next day or two, having been lovingly restored to health with the aid of his selfless, sympathtic wife.  (Who said it was the Drambuie?  Scandalous!)

Thanks for the news Wegg. Scandal or not, I can't think of anything better than my loving, selfless and sympathetic wife administering regular drops of Drambuie when I feel like Eggy has last few days! And so glad it worked!!!

Hope to meet you in July.

I'm Baa - Baa - Baa - Baaaack! - Who said shame ? - Who said peace is shattered ?
A few germs left to find their way back to the murky depths from whence they came but not enough to stop me getting to Arillas.
( Via some supermarket shopping, Velonades woodshed , and breakfast in Sidari ! )

A bitter cold morning with a little sandblasting happening in Arillas today. Just too much breeze to give me any confidence about standing at the end of the peir.
I took this one sitting down!

And that 3rd floor at the Marina now looks very good indeed. Whoever has this private appt will make a lot of people very envious. It blends in very well with it's surroundings and, to me, looks like it's always been there.

The area for the Hotel Akti pool has now been cleared and I hope a picture within the next week will do it justice.

I had great pleasure in sharing a large Ouzo with George, at the Malibu this morning , who continues to put a great deal of work in the refurb/extension of his bar.
It's looking good and when finished I have been promised an "exclusive".

Little snippets of activity all around and looks to me like Arillas is beginning to stir slightly from it's long rest and is now slowly preparing for another great season.

And.... What's that I saw when I drove past Bardis Sun Hotel?
"Boxed" 14 inch colour TV's being offloaded? Is Dorita not only spoiling her guests with Air Con but also giving the the option of TV?- Not  for me to speculate.
( Unless future guests know different )

Best wishes all. - A phone call to England this morning tells me the weather is better there that here. - Not enough to get us back though!

Finally , well done to Wegg, yet another poor lady who puts up with the miserable rantings of a partner who has had the "flu from hell". I must buy her a gift.
Maybe a new dishcloth or mop head - Something usefull - Only joking - Honest
Cheers

When we spoke to Dorita last year she said they were thinking of having tv's in the rooms. That will be nice.Glad you are feeling better.

Now I will never be able to drag Mike away.. especially if Star trek is showing.  If its all in greek then I stand a chance of getting him out of his room.  LOL...
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Glad you're feeling better Eggy...I think Wegg deserves at least a good meal out for putting up with your germs in the last week.
