Only if Terry plays the part of Compo.
( Who do we get for Norah Batty ? )

Sandy - Try as I may I just can't picture you in wrinkled stockings so I'll leave it to another very, very ,brave Forum member to nominate someone.

Arillas today and this one is for Riggers who wanted some "local totty" of  his own.

John - She's very cheap to take out in the evening and there's no need to buy her a drink on account of she's always "plastered"
*******************************************************************
A wet day all round today and I took this on the drive down to Arillas.

( personally , I've never seen Corfu so "green" )

You can see by the "River" just how much water is coming down off the fields with all the rain we've been having.

That "little stream" photo I took the other day is now a torrent.

Here's a couple of the beach.

And finally, Hotel Marina's roof is going on. The pic is taken from the front and what you see is, I think, the balcony for the front appt. The photo doesn't show the doors behind it.

Far too wet here to do any external work. I saw 3 cars parked up at Hotel Akti but very little progress on clearing the land for that pool.
But, when the weather improves they will crack on. I'm sure of that.

I feel like I've just written half a novel here so hope you're not too swamped with it.
Nearly 4 pm here now and the suns out ! - More rain forecast though.
( Another 12mm in the last 36 hours ) - Hard life aint it ??
Cheers

( Just as I finish typing , back comes the rain. - Must find a dvd to watch ! )

Nobody had better nominate me Endaxi!!  Although I can be a bit "batty" at times. :-)

Great Photos Eggy...  I love seeing them no matter what the weather.. Efharisto!!!
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

riggers

Lol Eggy, you can't get better than a woman who is cheap to take out and doesn't answer you back  lol...
Great pictures again.
And i'm not nominating who to do Nora Batty neither.

Riggers..

sharonF

Negg thanks for those photos and the excellent report.  You've made my day again xx

Eggy

Yer very welcome Sharon & all.

Terry - Haven't forgotten your request for some direction pics. Going to Corfu Town on Thursday - See what I can do.

Solved the problem of Norah Batty - May get my mum in law to join the Forum !

Hi Negg

Now you are treading on dangerous territory!!  Better off keeping mum in law out of it. ah ah.

Dangerous territory here!

My mum in law would have been in the wrong show. Anyone remember Dandy Nicholls? Elsie (silly old moo) Garnet in "Till Death Us Do Part" to those old enough to remember. (And much else too - she was a brilliant actress.)

Well, I loved mum-in law to bits, spent many a happy evening with her on Barley Wine etc etc, but she was the spitting image of Elsie Garnett. She even did the box of chocs on Sunday afternoon!

Could post a pic but I know without asking that Jen wouldn't let me. Got a pic of Norah then Eggy? Same rules apply!

I think we'd better cocnentrate on agency actors for this part - Sandy gave wise counsel about this.

And sorry, Eggy - forgot to thank you for todays post.

QuoteI feel like I've just written half a novel here so hope you're not too swamped with it.

I could read an encyclopaedia if this was your novel. Fantastic pics and insight.

Best wishes

I remember Elsie Garnett... My grandad was like Alf... all my family were "Eastenders".  Grandad looked like him and sounded like him.  My nan wasnt like Elsie and I loved Una Stubbs though.

I wonder how many volunteers we'd have if Nickos @ Brouklis took the part of Compo?
********************************************************************

Arillas today is looking a little "tyred".

Sorry, couldn't resist that. - Actually looking pretty good with around 17 deg and a slight breeze.

" Newsflash "
Local biker still looking for tourists, on Arillas sea front, to harass.

Aristotellis, nephew of Dimitris for those who haven't seen him before.
( Photo taken with kind permission of mum Stella )

And just a picture to show just how clear that water is now coming from that little river on the front.

( Must be about a foot deep , doesn't look it. )

Cheers All

Really interesting photographs again Eggy. The first one could be a sign that it could be a GoodYear for Arillas in 2008.

The photo of the water and pebbles just made me wish I could put my feet in it. I have set it as my desktop wallpaper and it looks very good.
