I have it on good authority today, well I got it from the guy who got it, probably from the baker, that temperatures could reach the 40's. Whoa!!

Think you might be taking that jumper off today then Eggy!!  Back at work, well the body bit of me is but my mind, heart and soul are still on holiday!  I hate the first day back at work!

Cheryl
Hope you had a delay free return and your family well. Very good to meet you.
How was the "Bardis" ?

Yes we were almost first in the queue at the airport and plane took off on time, landed 15 mins early in cold, dark Manchester!  Will be posting once I have a bit more time and have managed to get them hind legs back to that donkey!!!  You bugger!

Hope it's not too busy on 1st September when we arrive!

Can't wait now - looking forward to some well deserved sun and relaxation!

:)

Arillas beginning to gradually ease down to it's usual pace as I type. I had a choice of car parking spaces today, not many, but at least a choice.
Temperature never made that prophecied 40 deg today but did touch 35.
( Oh dear - I sound like the weather man here )

I reckon by the 1st Sept life will return to a steady equilibrium. All Taverna waiters will breathe a sigh of relief  and the Kitchen staff will ease back to the routines they prefer.
And the beach?- When you arrive they'll be no sign of what's hit it the previous 4 weeks
In my opinion September is a very good time to be here,
Regards

Thanks Negg!  We usually go to Cyprus to stay with family in August - that's always FAR too hot!  Usually about 42 most days!  So we thought we'd give somewhere else a try!

We really prefer places where it's peaceful and friendly for our hols - even though we're mere chicklings (I'm 24, my other half is 21 - my younger man!) we couldn't imagine anything worse than 2 weeks in Kavos or Malia or Magaluf!  I'm sure Arillas will be just what we're after!

6.30 pm folks and 37 deg outside. - Beach fairly quiet up to 11 am.
Less cars around today. I think Italian/Greek holidaymakers are on the move. SLOWLY

Lindy P & Mal this morning had the pleasure of my company and, I think, spent the  afternoon re-fitting the hind legs to that Donkey.

Tracey&Peter - Hope I can get to that wine festival. Or Brouklis,Coconut,Malibu.
(Will you bring the donkey or borrow Barrys?- Cheryls is taking a well earned rest )

I can always recognise a Forum Member now. They're the ones who dart quickly into shops or hide behind cars or jump into pools fully clothed when I approach.
False beards don't fool me either, as the bikini gives the game away.

Think I'll stay home for a few days and give you them all a bit of piece. - Maybe !

But it's Friday, Eggy, you can't stay home!!  Wish I could be there at 3pm for the Mythos and the good company of course!  Parcel was posted yesterday so should arrive with your friend today or tomorrow.

Making an early move today and Coconut is one of the targets. Trying to see Peri about the "Arillas Song" plus a bit 'o business elsewhere, plus Costas on the beach.
Loads to do but how much can you squeeze in, on Greek time, well.....
( Coconut profits have gone down since you left Cheryl )
I'll let my friend know that parcel is on it's way.

32 deg here at 12.00 and risingggggggg.

Negg how would we get on without your posts.  Can get on with rest of the day now, you've cheered me up.  Have a great weekend x

Eggy

Well Sharon,
I can tell you it's 31 deg now at 6.30 pm. ( Not sure what it peaked at )
The beach looks good and the Tavernas a little quieter
Arillas looks to be returning to normal-but still at a laid back pace.
The exchange rate offered by Arkokal Travel is e1.461. - Dropped a bit.

Highlight of my day ? - Lost a game of pool to a 10/11 year old lad in the Coconut.
Oh! , & did a bit of business, the game of pool was better though

I don't think you will have time to work, Eggy, You always seem to be busy as it is!

Eggy
You are rotten!!
I went outside to get Joan a bit of mint for her Pimms last evening and popped my head in the greenhouse, as one does.
The temperature was 9 degrees, it is bloody winter here!!
Roll on the 18th Sept and Kaloudis.
