Karl
All average prices and dependent on where your watering hole is. I am taking the worst scenario here.
.... and of course I have Ouzo with a small bottle of water which adds to the price.

Anyway... I do not understand this weather. 24deg and distant thunder at 6pm. Now it has started to rain.
Cheers

Wolverhampton Wanderers, pride of The Midlands......

Hi Neil sorry mate i was not implying you got special treatment at the bars, if the bar owners are kind enough to lower the price now and again as you are a good customer then that is fair enough.

Eggy

No worries , Jackson. No offence taken at all.
But I'm not buying the beer!!!
Stay well.

I think we have found over the last few years that the price of spirits are on a par with UK prices but luckily we are mainly wine and beer drinkers so not really noticed much change there. Certainly the wine is much cheaper than than the UK. We paid £10 a glass at airport in March!

I have been out of action , since Friday, as we lost the internet due to the bad overnight storm.
Up n running again now.
Greetings from a 24 deg 6:20 pm evening.

In earlier posts we mentioned about how prices were up significantly this year, a pal of mine is in Arillas now and told me that as Neil had said the price he had been paying was 4 to 5 euros a pint and this chap can shift a few, and said his wallet was feeling the strain, good job i am not the same, anyway any news on the Beach Point with the situation there?

Hi
Not quite Arillas but on the theme of beer prices.
In St.Andrews (Scotland) for a few days and

they have their own local brewery.
Was drinking The Angels Be Dammed at £11 a pint. A speciality beer that's stored in whiskey barrels for a year. It's 10.5%
The same beer not stored in whiskey barrels is 3.8% and £5.25 a pint

They also had The Devil Be Dammed at 14.5% costing £14 for a 1/3 of a pint.

At the other extreme drinking guinness in Dundee at £3.20

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than  to speak up and remove all doubt.

Now that must be the most expensive pint in the country.

I am in Arillas now and Beachpoint is closed
No sign of life there at all.
About prices - we called in at Rhoda the other day and beers were 3 euros and lots of places offering free sunbeds. Still would rather be in Arillas.  We also called at a pitta house in Acharavia the other day and retsina was 4.50 euros for 500 ml . It is 6.50 in Arillas.

There is no need to worry about the Arillas economy in the near future. My daughter Lisa & 6 of her friends will be at the Rainbow from tomorrow. She has been with us most years since 2006 & now she is taking a group of her friends. I am a little bit jealous that we won't be there too, but we're currently in Croatia so we can't be in 2 places at once.
They're a great group of very friendly social young adults who love a drink so say hello if you see them hanging about , most likely in the Malibu, Ammos or Rainbow
