I understand since Spiros died Portofino has been subject to the family not being able to agree the best way forward, a bit like the Arillas Inn just down the road. Sadly it seems it will be a while before the restaurant opens again, I hope I'm wrong. At least the rooms are being let, or they were when I was over there.

Portofino was open last year I think but Im sure Jo will know.

No Portifino has not been open this year or last since the sad passing of Spiro. They were renting rooms this year however and there was a sign in the restaurant window with a telephone number. Infact we almost couldn't believe our eyes when we saw someone from the back who looked and moved exactly like him it was very unnerving. Turns out it was his brother (his wife is the lady who still does the portofino sunbeds)

Arillas today at 4:15 with a 32 outside temp.
and..... my nomination for "Tosspot" of the week goes the the guy, on the scooter, coming towards me doing a "selfie" Well he had this "thingy" held out right in front of him and seemed oblivious to anyone around him!
In the middle of the road but at least he had a crash helmet on.
My Punto has a mind of his own and it took great willpower, from me, to stop it taking him out!!
He's a lucky man but still Tosspot of the week!!!
What's a matter with people? - At least it wasn't a sexual selfie as his other hand was on the steering.
(How would I feel if a man on scooter comes towards me..one hand on selfie and the other? -)
We won't go there!!

anyway......a good afternoon and Arillas continues to be well.
I am told that Ag. Georgios is full of Athens Greeks as it is the painless travel they can do for a good break.
Twas a good afternoon and a feeling a wellness with all.
