Arillas Today , and yesterday , and the day before???
The webcam shows a totally deserted beach front. - Tis all quiet and people follow the lockdown rules or face a 300e fine for any failure to follow the procedures. A quieter Winter than usual.

A quiet Arillas today winding down at 17deg for 6pm.
I am pleased to report that I used the new local Chemist.
Nice people and I think they will do well.
Obviously, with lockdown, I had to "free" text the reason to advise this was my reason for leaving the house.
Cheers

Once again a quiet Arillas Today.  - and Kavadaddes and Sidari.
Not even a Zombie, in sight , that I can stab in the head!!
I think the Arillas webcam must be on pause as not a soul appears.
Twill get better , me-thinks . and still 16 deg outside at 6:30pm.
Greece/Corfu lockdown is doing very well and cases are very low.
and..... I have time to plan some really silly pics for the A-Z !!!
Cheers

Hi neil do you also have to ask permission to go out for exercise only or do you tell them you are shopping and get round it that way, as it does seem a tad hard not to get out unless for the chemist or groceries [glad you are well by the way]

Eggy

Nice to hear from you and trust all is well?
We have a "Free Text" number which must be used before we leave the house.
Shopping - Bank - Excercise - Chemist - Visit the vulnerable.
(Excercise is only allowed close to your property - You cannot drive anywhere abd then hve a ramble)

Each of the above is designated a number. - We text name , location , and reason. Within a couple of minutes we get an OK/Reply. - Phone and passport must be with us when we leave.

Possibly , as in the UK , there are some officials who are over zealous.
Like the guy who was found at a cashpoint when he had only texted Supermarket - The cashpoint was just over the road and he should have texted "Bank" and "Shopping"  - He was fined 300e.
Not a one off but we must be careful.
Cheers

Wish we had done the same here, then we wouldnt be getting all the visiters on the beach, we love about 200mt from it and even when its a nasty day, I cant get Arilla on to the beach as she wants to say hello to everybody. Its a small village and we now have 46 positive cases. xx

Stay Nude it ante rude

Thanks for that insight neil, the police over there are certainly not to be messed with thats evident. If the same principle was employed over here the fines taken would be enough to pay back what has been spent by the gov during this pandemic thats for sure.they have got the right idea and are allbeit tough have the right intentions for the citizens. i wish some of our citizens were not as selfish. good wishes to all my Arillas friends and hope to see you all as soon as is possible.

I paid an "Arillas Chemist Visit" , lunchtime , and took the opportunity to drive along the front.
Not a soul in sight and with a dry 19 deg twould have been very nice to sit with a beer and take in the view.
WOTTAPITY did not take the camera for a quick pic.
Cheers

12 deg , outside , at 6:30pm and just a tad glad that lockdown is in force as we have not got to make the effort to leave the house. - 22deg is much better and , of course , cheaper on the pocket.

Hope yer on the mend , Kevin. Tas been a bummer 12 months for all. We may have lockdown, extended here,
for another week. I am saving at least 50e a week on afternoon drinking and petrol etc. I could use that cash to buy a decent set of "Up Market" darts. - But then , where can I go to throw 'em??

Good wishes all

With current restrictions, I continue to lose my motivation to keep my mind active so have reverrted to my "Ole Head Pals" as a "pottering mind active"  ploy.  (See A-Z)
How all you guys, in the UK, cope with this ISO , long term , is amazing. - GOODONYERCOBBLERS !!

Arillas/Kavaddades today finishes at 14deg and has been a good day. I think there has only been 14 recorded Covid cases in the last 2 days so we are all hoping that lockdown will be eased by Monday.
----- If not  , then my "head Pals" will be back on that A-Z.
Cheers
