That's it , Ian !   Haven't seen him since that day ....

So , stop frightening the guests away , Carl!!
------------------------------------------------------

Dry here tonight and a little bird, who also is a very good dart player,  tells me that "Captain's Table" will be open in two weeks. - A good informant that would have gone far as a spy in the 2nd World War.

Glad I haven't frightened him away.... It would have been another to add to the list! Lol

Good news about Captain's Eggy, hope they will stay open next summer, always good food and good value.

JohnTheRef&Dot

Missed Scottish Yanni  this year.
Perhaps it was me who frightened him away
Another re opening (Captains)
Arillas is the place to be.....  good to see that businesses are continuing to be there for us, must give them all the support we can.

Eggy

Well , Arillas Today donated us a rather measley temp of 17/18 deg but gave us a dry day as a bonus.

Arillas , last night, gave us small "quake tremble" around 11:15 pm ish !!!! Apparently a 4.4 earthquake on the Albanian coast.
(Even I felt it, and even after an evening drinkie!!)

However, every thing is still standing, much better than me, so notta problem.

More on Captain's soon.

Carl
I would need a big glass, for this morning's rainfall, recorded for Arillas today.

50mm... plus thunder n lightening and "blue sparks" coming from the toaster??? -WOTSALLTHATABOUT? - (Still works though!)

15deg outside ,at 6pm and more rain forecast. - A power cut or two expected.

We venture no where this evening and turn the heating up.

Cheers

Arillas Today?? - No more talk about a "BREXIT" , this is a BRRRRR-Don't "EXIT" yer house for fear of freezing!!!

4 deg at lunchtime and now 2 deg at 7pm. - WOTSALLTHATABOUT??

Many frozen water pipes around, this morning, and sales of pipe lagging are on the increase. Even our two fighting male pusscats have made a truce and now sleep snuggly inside, and on adjacent chairs. (The closest they have been without ripping throats out!!)

Much heating oil and gas being used by many plus many "sombers" working overtime. Reckon we are using 9 litres of oil , per day, which equates to , around, £8 (£56 a week?? - WOT IS THAT ABOUT??)

Punto battery currently on re-charge , as it hated to be disturbed from it's hibernation, this morning and eventually made an effort to get me down the road for an iced coffee. (Joking about the iced coffee)

Cats water dish, outside this morning, was just a block of ice. Took me 10 minutes to find it as young moggie had it stuck to her tongue .
(That'll teach her to take a drink in this weather)

So, tonight is a "All rads on full blast" plus 3 layers of clothing. In all the 10 years , we have been here we have never known it so chilly.

Wrap up guys and take it easy.
Cheers

I presume the idea of having a few ouzo indoors to warm you up hasn't escaped you mate!? 😂

Nine degrees here in the northwest today, really strange weather. Eggy Bill reckons you need warmer clothes to live in Corfu in the winter.... tee shirt and cotton pants just aren't cosy enough. Also try whiskey instead of Ouzo. 😲😜

There are rumours that Corfu has had some snow recently. Is that true Eggy?

Eggy

Certainly true around Arillas/Kavaddades, this morning Sonia.
We awoke to a fine wafting of snow which turned into a mini blizzard, thanks to the wind changing. Does not seem cold enough to settle and returned to "normal" within the hour. Looking outside, now,  we are saying "Was that snow or a bad dream?"

I must revise how to put pics on and post a couple.

Anyway , the good news is the temp has gone up. From one deg at 7:30 to 2 deg at 11:30. -

Cheers
