There was a "young" senior called Terry
Who, at times was a little contrary
Never known as a Rapper
But with Sambuca and Snapper
he's known to become very merry!!!

Sorry, Terry , couldn't resist it and not much I can think of to rhyme with Terry.

26 deg Arillas today. Very hard to remember it is the end of September with so many people around still enjoying some much Arillas has to offer.

Wishing you were here is hard work but knowing you will be back it easy peasy!
Cheers

Brilliant Neil, and so true. The only problem is that Snapperrrrrrrr, the way emerald Dragon pronounced it was different to rapper.

One night we had lots of fun with a  conversation about accents. There was Newcastle George, Welsh Martin, Tykie Janis, Finnish Emerald Dragons, Somerset Ger and Martin, and Helen and I with our Warwickshire Yokel twang. Martin W was the real star and I wish I could remember some of his stories.

Now.....lets thinks of a limerick about darts? What rhymes with darts? :-)

Eggy

Reckon you are a bit of an 'ole fisherman , Terry. You knew you would hook me , line n sinker on a reply to that posting.

What rhymes with darts??
Many old  ****s ,  ( Those still  trying to play the game , I suppose )

Just back from Arillas, at 11:45, and you are not wrong Guv, I cannot recall an end of September when there were so many people here. However, some places did close early (11 ish?) but we were the last to leave Marina Hotel and still had to manoeuvre past those late night revellers!
But.... only 19 deg outside temp now, - Is this a time for the "Woolly Jumper" brigade?

Cheers

Is "Arillas Today" full of sad news , only?

Cheryl home early morning and will be missed by many.
Cashpoint closed, end of season?. Very "blinkered" me-thinks. October and still people willing to spend a bob or two!
Riggers not happy, at the moment, as Man city v Newcastle a half time draw.
(He will be more unhappy when he finds out the "mini beer thingy" is next Saturday. He goes home Saturday morning.
A toilet seat sat sitting where the Mermaid should be? - WOTSALLTHATABOUT?
Only 23 deg at 6pm and may rain later.

So, is "Arillas Today" sad news only? - Course not!
Val n Bill here safely and looking forward to their first meal out tonight. (Like many still here the weather does not bother 'em.
Viv and Pete still whizzing around enjoying.
Martin W about and apologies from Wegg for not recognising him yesterday.
Riggs may or may not drown his sorrows tonight. However Man City now 4-1 up, so guaranteed a few bevvies will happen tonight, in the best possible taste.
(When I started typing this they were 2-1 up - Can't keep up with it)
Rainbow will have the company of Eric n Sue and Paul n Denise and new arrival , Bristol Ria, plus others. 23 deg and rain? - who gives a diddley.
Mavis n Robin will be at Armourada tonight and we will be with them.

That's it guys as I just may have to change that footie result again.
Cheers

Never been here this late in season before, and now I wonder why. I've been here for just over two weeks and it is so much better than I expected. Today was one of the nicest days I've ever had here. It was hot, sunny and not too busy but still lots of lovely people around and the sea is so warm. Mind you, seeing Wales win three games may have helped. My wife went home on Friday after running her first yoga retreat outside UK which was a huge success. Only a small group but another 9 people who fell in love with Arillas and it's beautiful people.

Jen and I so agree with you Dai. Arillas has everything we want when it is quiet. Sadly our next time is July 2016. But we'll be back in September 2016 until they close all the doors and switch off all the lights - sometime in November....

Well, what can I say?  This has to have been my best visit yet, so peaceful yet so busy, laughed until I cried and my tummy hurt every single day and I've not done that since I was a kid many years ago, weather was superb and the sea even better, lush food, nice ice cold drinks, lovely long walks and so much more than I bargained for ..... my soul is sorted for a while!

Thank you Neill (posh name terms now!) for all the trips out and organising the lunch time drinks with Val, Bill and Viv - was so lovely to meet you at last.  Val I will take better care of my cheekbones, thank you for your kind comment.

Truth, I hope you understood my message ....... anyone going to Sidari would have been fine ha ha!

It's a perfect time of year to go and the people I met and spent time with were just up my street, I had a ball!  Roll on July!
