That's meant to say thinking about what to do lol.
Went out at 1000hrs now 1525, how time flys we strolled up to Afionas and seemed to meet everybody, didn't realise we had been out more then a couple of hrs. Almost got knocked down by Neal who we thought was still in UK. Taking a cuppa now may hit beach may not Wow I just love this pace of life. Viv x

Sounds really lovely there at the moment. We will find out on Saturday, can't wait now. Thank you for your reports, they are keeping me entertained. x

Not a lot to report today apart from lovely weather after a storm last night a full morning on the beach. This afternoon was spent with friends raising a glass to our dear friend Alan. We are going to Porto fino for our evening meal tonight. Vivx

Viv
Hope you had a great dinner and Spiros was in fine form.
He is for many reasons one of our stars of Arillas
We will see him at the end of August and until then everyone can enjoy the banter.
Oliver.

Lovely eventing with Maggi and les. I got rather piddled Spiro,s fault haha. At the moment we are in bed watching the sun raise through the window so strong we could get a suntan without getting up.

Was it the dreaded Ouzo bottle?
But he is always so charming!
Anyway I look forward to the hospitality if not the after effects!
Oliver.

All
Compared to many of you I am a novice on the forum. As I read all your posts it did strike me that perhaps many of us share the dream and /or expectation of our annual visit.
What is the defining moment? Is it the first sight of the sea front? Or the first meal in your favourite restuarant(if that is the right description) or just the first time you meet old friends?
Perhaps like me it is just arriving at Kaloudis and knowing I am going to have a perfect 2 weeks....and I dont think the venue is crucial.
Any thoughts?
Oliver.

Oliver, we are just like you, arriving at Mathraki and seeing Nic or Akis standing at the gateway waiting to greet you is the best feeling, then getting a hug and knowing it's the real thing.

Oliver, it was absolutely all those things you said and more. Forme, it is definitely arriving at tha crossroads with the divine jetty ahead that says I'm home, but my defining moment is always wading into the sea, waist high, turning to the sun and sighing...I'm home! X

Oliver, as the taxi turns past Tria Adelphia and Elena Stella into the village, I feel a very real sense of arriving home. Strange but true, it is much stronger than when I get back to my other home in Somerset. But if I were there most or all of the time, I wouldn't miss that arrival aspect of it. It goes much deeper than that for me.

Sadly I'm not in Arillas Today.

Just got back from Erikousa a nice crossing both ways. Too hot to do much exploring but what we saw of the island we enjoyed. Both of us have headaches but I'm sure after our showers we will be ready to go again. Several opening nights tonight Marina, Horizon and Bardis Sun. Love Viv x
