Arillas Today continues to offer all guests a super 30 deg at lunchtime.

There does not to be any sign of rain for the very near future which must please our good pal, Erja, who will soon be hopping over for some prime time.

It's been a fairly busy August and we all hope for a just as busy September.

Someone recently asked if there are still new DVD releases being shown in the local bars. - I am told that Malibu, yesterday, showed "Transformers 3"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, A question for all.
"Arillas Today" is on, something like, 689,000 veiwings, since it started. This is a credit to all who post here with photos and updates etc.

But..... anyone like to hazard a guess as to how long it will take to reach that 1,000,000 mark? -

And will the system cope with a 7 figure number?
And will I still be alive when this record total is reached?
And what will the price of Ouzo be then?
Cheers

So pleased to hear August has been fine, and I'm sure September will
be even better, it usually is !!! And the beach looks great this year.

Enjoy the sun and the fun. Greetings from a very rainy Denmark!
But I'll be off myself to Moraitika in just 3 weeks, so I will survive !!!
Give my regards to everyone.

Lets have a guess. It started on August 08, 2007, at 02:30:35 PM so thats 689,379 views in 48 months which is 14,362 per month and 1,000,000 - 689,379 = 310,621 divided by 14,362 = 21 Months, which would be 1,000,000 by about April 2013.

The First Post

I have just been to Arillas and it is "Heaving". It's also Heaven, as we all know, but it was also "Heaving" today. I struggled to find a parking place.
3 pm in the afternoon and Brouklis still busy. Costas on the beach open? The first time I have seen them open at Lunchtime for a few years. Everywhere busy except the unfortunate Malibu & Coconut which were empty. But I'm sure they will get a lot of business tonight!. The beach was packed. People everywhere!
I've never seen Arillas in August and, so I'm told, a lot of Italians and Greeks take their holidays at this time. Brighton beach "eat yer heart out!"
It's good to see though but a bit of an eye opener for naive ole me. Always thought Arillas was so laid back having only been here May & late September.

I just noticed - I got what I asked for way back at the start.

I like the subject "Arillas Today" Eggy, its like an online newspaper.

Could we have a  .....wait for it.......News Eggsclusive every day please?

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssss

Geoff

Oh Terry !!!
grrrrrroooooooaaaaannnnnn
Home is where the heart is - CORFU :-)

Eggy

Interesting Terry.

Started in Aug 2007? - Can't beleive it but records show it's true.
Who was there then?- In 2007? ( Tooo lazy to look)

so....MR TERRY W,
Start a new post then, under General Chat for everyone to give an estimate for when we reach 1,000,000 posts.
Maybe the winner, in months time can have a freebie meal, compliments of others who guessed wrongly. (And no cheating!)

Meanwhile.... Sitting here with 33 deg now at 6:40pm all I could say is , "Poor Connie, sitting in the rain in Denmark"
Won't be said though as sitting in the rain often sounds good to me and Denmark can't be that bad ( People holiday there! )

Cheers

"Bumpered Into" - Erja and Heide today, enjoying life at Marina Pool Bar.

They both look very well, Must be the Arillas climate ( Or the mythos!)

They must have had a super day and we still can offer all a 31deg at 7pm.

Heidi and I were here in Arillas August 2007 celebrating my 40th B-Day.

Long live Arillas today! :)
Life is good ;)

Eggy

Well, you gals are just a coupla of Arillas veterans!

I bet with the temps today, still 34deg at 5pm, that 'ole Mythos has been like the nectar of those Greek Gods again!. Save some for Riggers though!

Tis been a real hottie again folks and have said many sad farewells to those leaving us. - More of that on the Darts posting though.

Arillas looks busier to me and have met many a "quad-biker" coming at Punto in the middle of the road. - WOTSALLTHATABOUT?
(Watch the road people - not the veiws)

and ........some very smart Italian cars who still are not sure which side they should be on.
(I wouldn't want to scratch my BMW either-maybe middle of road is good idea)

All in all,a super mixture of folks who have this one "Arillas Thing" in common. WOTSDATDEN? ( Answers on postcards only )

Cheers

Ang

Hear Hear Ang. That is WOTITSALLABOUT. I do every day as well....

Living it with you Erja and Heavy. I've coped with being here for a few weeks, but SO wish we could share a few in the Nut tonight. Terry calls it Arillasitis - I call it homesick.

Eggy

Hi Ang

Was it that long ago? - Thanks for the reminder though!
(Must be time to get that cheese outa the fridge!)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting here with 31deg in the shade,at 7:40, and looking forwards to a Sunday Roastie chickie with trimmings. - All except the meat from the garden of Bink. - Or should I say the one-armed Wegg.

Arillas on a Sunday evening in late August will be "heaving" or is that "Heaven"
Now where did I read that before?

Cheers
