Kevin,
After a double Ouzo anyone could see why Viv confuses EYTYXIA with Brouklis.
Easy done and I still get confused to which side of the road I drive. (But a double Ouzo sorts that out!)
Cheers

H FOR HIPPOMOBILE horse-drawn vehicle at the old prison on Vidos

This wooded island is located in the bay opposite Corfu Town. The name Vidos comes from the time that the French ruled over Corfu. Another story says that it comes from one of the Venetian owners, Guido Maliepierie, and that the island was named after him. Guido became "Vido" and than later the "s" was added. Which story is the real one I do not know... Since 1993 the island of is a protected nature reserve.
During the Brittish occupation of Corfu Vidos was used as a prison island and the British built an almost impenetrable fortress. When they left the island in 1863 they demolished everything including the church of Agios Stefanos
