Brilliant news, I must spend at least 10 hours a day looking at computer screens (I didn't wear glasses before this job) and normally on holiday to escape from all things computer related is a great relief, however I can just picture whiling away the afternoon with a Spinach Pie, Amstel and seeing I'm on holiday a cigarette while I catch up on emails, etc.

Tell your work that you are finding it difficult to progress in your vocation without the use of a laptop and ask them to buy you one. Work treated me to a new laptop then disabled the wireless function just to spite me, foolishly forgetting that I have an IT background, suffice to say I have a wireless laptop once again. ^^
