Just to confirm that Vinceremos is open but looking empty.  I think this is because he told everyone last year that it was his last year and if people don't walk up to that end of the sea front then they won't realise. Please support it guys as otherwise it could be one less Taverna to choose from.   I know the service can be a bit hap hazard and slow but the food is delicious and worth waiting for and the views are amazing . My husbsnd says to mention they also have Alpha on draft😀

I have allways liked going in the Vinceremos and will be going in in August when we are there. I don't understand why people seem to imply its a long way along the front its no distance at all, the lady who does all the cooking is a wonderfull lady and very welcoming, i for one will be very sorry when it does close.

Truth

I'll be there August for a couple of meals 🙂

I would like to add to my previous post that i do understand that some people do have mobility problems and the like but putting all that aside its not like walking to Afionas.

Tis always sad to have 2 good Tavernas alongside each other and I think that there are still some "newbies" who feel a tad uneasy walking past one place and enjoying the smiles and greetings to then venture into the place next door. With Grazella the first place from the front it does make it difficut for some and if you prefer Vinceremos but don't want to "upset" anyone then approach it from the other side.

I still feel guilty sometimes speaking to the good guys in Marina Pool Bar and then sitting in Beach Kostas.
(Nothing wrong with the pool bar but I fidget a tad and do not sit still for long so I need the option to throw a dart or two and not plunge in a pool)

I know of a couple who feel bad going into Athena when they are staying opposite at Marvel. They feel bad at them seen eating elsewhere when they could walk down to the front and be comfortable.
Bizarre , I know , and I welcome your thoughts on this.
Cheers

Negg - we are one of these families that don't like to offend but found it even more difficult last year as we were actually staying at Gratselas. I'm sure Gratselas wouldn't mind us supporting another business in Arillas but I personally would feel a tad uncomfortable- possibly due to the fact that we eat at Gratselas quite a few nights throughout our holiday as well as staying with them.

Truth

Negg..... And you Laura. No one should feel guilty about where they eat or drink although sometimes (rarely!) we do ! Some owners do make you feel uncomfortable if you take your bisiness elsewhere though...... fact

I know truth...its only ever between those 2 restaurants though. But it's good to share the business around all taverna owners!

Yes that's exactly the reason we haven't been  there. Even if you came from the other side they would still see you and it (for us!) Would feel so awkward! It's the same scenario with the Coconut and Malibu isn't it?

jackson

Jo you are spot on, we used to go in the Malibu 25 years ago but now prefer to go in the coconut the age thing i suppose but as karl said you should not feel guilty we are on holiday and we work hard for our breaks, Karl you said about some places do make you feel uncomfortable if you don't spend more of your time and money with them i found that out about 6/7 years ago when i was asked that maybe if i liked it better elsewhere i should stay there next time, well that didn't go down well and so  now we do.

Hi
Just put your head down and keep walking.
It's not as though both establishments are ever short of diners
