I didn't get the rate in Arillas today but imagine it would be very close to Sidari.
I happened to stop there today and one place was offering e1.50 with 2% commission.

I have found that as the main holiday season ends, the exchange rate goes up.

If I'm lucky I'll get a much better deal in the first week of September, than if I buy now.

The rate that Eggy posted indicates it is going in our favour.  :-)

Of course, if we get another "Black Monday" on the Stock Market, we'll all suffer.  :-(

Eggy

Curious thing this exchange rate. Today it was e1.465 at the local Arillas Offices. Generally you tend to get at least a point more on the ATM, So we used it today but when we worked out the exchange it was still around the same ( No commission though ) Rate still better than England though, yes?

Arillas exchange today was e1.457 before commission. Check before you change any money. I queried the exchange offered with Arillas travel today as they showed 1.425 but this is the rate they pay to you after commission.

In June, I was forced to purchase Euros at Gatport Airwick.

I got a miserly rate of 1.405, and had to pay £2 commission fee on top.  :-(

I still have about 140 Euros left in notes and coins, so hopefully that'll be enough to last me the week.  :-)

How much my wife has I've no idea  ;-)

If you're wife has about the same then not a problem. If not, then arrange with Taverna owners to do the washing up.
Negg

( Still hovering at e1.467 today )

Eggy, you're a star :-)

We eat at a Taverna, then she does the washing up to pay for it.

So, 7 places to have lunch in, 7 other places to have dinner in.   ;-)

I'm glad you see the humour in my posts, you must have your 'Smilies' ON  :-)
