Easy Jet cease flights from

Reported on Your Southend all flights to and from Southend will cease from Sept 1st and not just closing  as a base
This also applys to Stanstead and Newcastle airports.

Some reports say though that flights will still land at Stanstead and Newcastle

Easy Jet says it will contact everybody affected

Seems that Easy Jet do intend to land only at Stanstead and Newcastle.
Seems uneconomical to take off empty. Who would book a flight with them to these locations  but not be able to book a return flight. Strange.
