Pop up adverts

Is anybody else getting Greek related adverts when using the forum on I Phones?

Hi,The forum does not use popup ads.
only google ads for text or images.
the pop up adverts probably come together with some ap  used by your phone.

It has only recently started.
I only got the adverts on the forum website. No others.
Have now downloaded AdBlock and that seems to have solved the issue.

I had too many on my phone until I stopped Chrome and just used google but then my phone is a Chinese Huawei or could it be a northern greeting. Sorry for that . I still have a better phone without all the junk with chrome. Hope it helps.

Geof I;m tying to solve this mystery...

Perhaps you can Jo as I have now stopped the pop ups.
Strange that when viewing on my laptop there were no pop up adverts.
Don't think you can do a screen shot on I phones though

Wow Ger that looks horrible.
It is strange as it does not happen to me and it is only on Mobile phones?

I reported it to Google and I'm waiting for their response.
If anyone alse is having an issue then please let me know.

Well I think I managed to fix this.
google is trying to encourage people to do more and more adverts so after my support question I was able to block those  mobile pop-up  adverts.Please let me know if you see them again,xxxx

I dont like running unecessary apps so I will now delete AdBlock on my phone. Still keep it on my lap top though.
For general info though AdBlock is free and very affective. Some sites dont like it but you can pause it for indivdual sites as required
