Hi

The Foreign Office have extended its travel ban indefinitely.
The restrictions on all non esstial flights had been due to end later this year.

Ministers now admit that have no idea when the ban will be lifted.

It raises the likelyhood that mass cancellations of flights and holiday bookings will extend into the summer.

The travel industry say the travel warning should be extended to a definative  date, which can be reviewed if needed.

Hi
Typo error. Should have said The restrictions on all non esstial flights had been due to end later this MONTH. April the 16th I think was the original date

Geoff , Good of you to keep the likes of us informed of these changes. Wegg was offered  refund, on her April flight , by Easyjet but when she tried to claim it the website does not give her that choice.??-

EasyJet seem to be expecting people to phone their call centre for a refund (rather than rebooking or vouchers) ... if you can actually get through of course.  I'm going to have the same fun and games with them shortly over a non-flight to Menorca.

Eggy

Thanks for that , Karen
Don't think we will be ringing from Corfu!!
Cheers

Easyjet now have the option to claim a refund ... rather than vouchers ... on-line: though you do have to dig a bit to ignore the offer of vouchers (now with added £5 credit per person per flight).  No idea how long it will take ... but they do say don't chase until it's over 90 days!

Our Easy Jet flight for this Sunday was cancelled last week, we have claimed for a refund but not expecting anything for a while. We have another flight to Corfu in July booked but can't see that happening.

Greenbeans

Still waiting for a refund as per below.

We are really sorry to inform you that your easyJet flight EZY6407 from Newcastle (Intl) to Malaga on 01-04-2020 at 07:00 has been cancelled, and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this will have caused you.

Fingers crossed :]
