Greek Salad Awards 2019!

Now I don't know about anyone else, but nothing quite says 'I'm back!!' Like the first delicious mouthful of that first Greek Salad.

Try as I might, I can never recreate one in rainy England but maybe that's the point? Maybe it's the scorching hot sun beating down, the promise of a heavenly relaxed day on the beach and the prospect of blissful days without the thought of work and the daily grind...but I digress...

Our first Greek Salad is nearly always Gratzela. There really is no better spot to enjoy your first lunch in my opinion. The feta is out of this world, the oil infused perfectly with the crisp salad...mmmmm. Roll on July!

Great choice Jo!
It's always the very first place that we eat lunch and evening meal any return during our stay many times.
A Greek salad is usually our first meal with a plate of grilled sardines to share too. Divine!
We love most of the food places in Arillas but Gratsela is our favourite for so many reasons but sadly we're not going this year.

Never quite sure if it's Gratsela or Gratzela?
Great taverna though with a great family that own and run it.

The las t time I ordered a Greek salad the waiter said ...
"Would you like Olives??"
I said "No, she ordered it , let her eat it!!"

That said , and wish I didn't , have you tried the salad variations?? - such as diced carrot/lettuce , that sort of thing??

I love the salads at Gratselas especially the tuna one. Love how they put a smiley face on them. Will try and post a picture later.

I know what you mean Steve . Easily confused as Jonathan also has olive eyes and a gorgeous smile but no, it's not him.
