Hi Everyone
I am new to this board and I need to learn about Arillas. We have visited Corfu 5 times since 1985 but have not ventured to Arillas before.

We will be staying at the Mathraki studios September 2018 so if you are there let me know?

Take care.

Hi JohnTheRef&Dot
Many thanks for your reply.

After reading messages on Trip Advisor I have since discovered there may be noise until 3am is this correct?

Regards

Champlain

Truth

I think that one report was a bit misleading to be honest.
Plenty on here that stay there , like Val, will be along soon to put to bed any worries you may have.....

Welcome Champlain. Like Karl says a lot of people return there year after year. Val one of the forum members will reply as soon as she can I'm sure.

We stayed at Mathraki studios for the first time at the end of July had a fantastic holiday there....absolutely faultless.
Great family...so friendly and welcoming
Great food
Immaculately clean everywhere
Soooo peaceful AND definitely didn't experience any late night noise during our 2 weeks stay!

We have already booked for July 2018 and can't wait!

Thank you all, I have been in contact wioth Effi and she has reassured me this is not the case and that she is aware of the post on TA.

The reason I asked was because we have been back from Rhodes a week, the hotel Panorama had music blaring from 10 am until late. It was so bad we never sat around the pool, and we could could even hear it from our room.

Hope to hear from Val as well.

Thanks everybody!

you will not be disappointed with the Mathraki. Its a great place. Regarding the  noise at the bar we ourselves have not experienced it and stayed 4 times Next year will be the 5th year. And even if on the odd night there is it is only people enjoying themselves. You will love it

suzy61

Ness you are so right...people are just enjoying themselves on their holiday. A few times when we returned to the Mathraki after eating out there were people at the bar having drinks. Some nights we joined them and sometimes we went straiight to our room. One night it was about 1 0 clock in the morning and there was a small group at the bar and the music playing but not too loud. We went straight to bed that evening as we were so tired and straight to sleep. We heard the next morning that this parrticular group didn't retire until about 3am but not once were we woken up by any noise from them.

Unfortunately I think some people are not always entirely truthful on trip adviser, where as on this forum they are.

Mathraki studios really are a great place to stay where all the staff work extremely hard and go out of there way to ensue their guests - new  and old have a fabulous holiday!

They certainly don't deserve such negative reviews

Suzy like yourself sometimes we would go the bar bar before bed and chat to other guests or if tired go to bed. I think the noise that might be referred to is probably chatter and laughter!!! Oh no not laughter lol. Look forward to all that noise next year.

Ness...too much delicious Greek food and great red wine to even be kept awake by wonderful laughter!

How dare people have fun on holiday!

Hi
We have stopped at the Mathraki 6 times and have booked for  next year.
Hospitality, food ,cleanliness and location cannot be faulted.
If you unfortunate enough to need any assistance at all, for whatever reason you only have to ask.
As far as noise in concerned. It is a very popular place with many ''repeaters'' meeting up each year at the same time.
It is mainly a residents bar at night and yes there is loud  laughter as people meet up and socialise. It is not a problem in the rooms though
Cant say I have ever heard loud music.
I am not a night owl and often go to bed early and my partner stays chatting etc and never feels out of place.
There are no lager louts, swearing or anti social behaviour.
Visit and enjoy
Geoff
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than  to speak up and remove all doubt.

We stay at the Mathraki Studios two or three times each summer.....I always feel it's a very relaxing place run by a wonderful family. It does have lots of repeat guests and all the rooms are two beds only.
Each time we stay here we meet friends who just like us are regular guests, this alone tells you what a great place it is.

There are only eighteen rooms so you get to know other guests quickly, lots of sun lounges around the pool, lovely food at the bar.....all in all it's a very nice quiet relaxing  place to have a wonderful holiday.

The love affair continues.
